Little Chinese wonder called cloisonné

Cloisonné' is the unusual technique of creating a design with metal (preferably gold or silver vermeil) wire, and then filling the spaces with enamel paint.

These beads usually have flowers and other organic shapes in shades of naturally found in the region blue, rust, & yellow on a white primer's background.

Side note:

Chinese didn't always mean bad quality. For instance in Soviet Union who always had good relations with China word "Chinese" in front of noun used to be pronounced reverently, meaning timeless quality and beauty.

I had "Chinese dress" people who were able to get that for their daughters considered themselves lucky, because the beauty and quality was beyond anything. After me my cousin wore it, and it looked the same as the first time I wore it.

"Chinese vase" was pride and joy always standing just so everybody could see it, children were admonished not to run close to them. Such were things...

How it got back asswards anybody's guess.

Conundrum though.
